Competition
Rules Framework
A public competition is not active until its specific official rules are published. This framework explains what every approved event must define.
Required event details
Every public tournament, challenge, sweepstakes, or prize competition must publish its sponsor, eligibility, age requirement, eligible territories, start and end times, entry method, score method, winner selection, prize description, prize value, notification process, tie rules, disqualification rules, privacy terms, and any platform notices.
Verified scores
Only scores recorded through the approved game and event process are eligible. Scores may be reviewed for technical anomalies, automation, tampering, abuse, duplicate accounts, or conduct that creates an unfair advantage.
Fair play
Players may not manipulate the software, use unauthorized automation, exploit a defect, impersonate another player, interfere with another entry, or submit false information.
Prizes
No prize is promised unless the event’s specific official rules describe it. Participation is not an investment, and playing does not create an expectation of financial return.
Platform notices
Unless an event’s official rules expressly say otherwise, a third-party device, store, game, social, or payment platform is not a sponsor and is not responsible for the competition.
